On November 22, 2013 in Moscow in a framework of the 4th International scientific and practical conference organized by the Union of Industries of Railway Equipment “IRIS and careful production –important parts of management systems development” took place an awarding of company’s leaders and heads - winners of JSC “RZD” contest for the best quality of the rolling stock and complex technical systems.

International scientific and practical congress Signal+Draht in the railway technologies area took place from 7th to 8th of November 2013 in Fulda, Germany. Every year in this event, organized by one of the most reputable European magazines in the field of railway transport, the most actual problems of this industry development are discussed - both in a global scale and with a focus to the European market. This year, the world's leading companies in the field of railway signalling systems and IT- companies were discussing the problems, safety items and perspectives of development of advanced wireless technologies in railway transport, as well as an open communication channels.

The 3rd International conference-exhibition “PromTransZhat -2013” was held in Ekaterinburg from 18th to 20th of September 2013. More than 200 participants from 100 companies of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Republic of Moldova, Latvia, Germany, Italy and France discussed the most actual issues of development the train traffic safety assurance technologies of trains on approach sections on industrial enterprises, issues and problems of new systems service, as well as issues of compliance with the legal framework in field of implementation and operation of modern techniques. This year “PromTransZhat”, organized by R&P Centre “Promelectronica” and the Union of railway related companies, was supported by the Transport Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, the Union of railway transport and service companies of the Russian Federation and the National railway union.

The 12th International Exhibition “Transport, Transit and Logistics - TransCaspian 2013” took place in Baku (Azerbaijan) from 13th to 15th of June, 2013. Research and production centre “Promelectronica” jointly with its partner – Alstom Transport for the third time presented its principal railway signalling and telecommunication developments.

Today R&P Centre “Promelectronica” celebrates its 21st birthday. The third decennary of our history has already started. An interesting fact is that in some countries the age of 21 is considered to be a full adult age.

In April R&P Centre “Promelectronica” organized special courses of ESSO and MPC-I maintenance for signalling specialists. Such courses are arranged annually at the company’s training center in Ekaterinburg. This year R&P Centre “Promelectronica” trained 40 signalling specialists from mainline and industrial railways.

In the beginning of April microprocessor interlocking MPC-I and microprocessor semi-automatic block system MPB were implemented on Norilsk railway. Last year four other stations, one level crossing and some track sections there were equipped with microprocessor-based interlocking and signalling systems produced by R&P Centre “Promelectronica”.

In the end of March microprocessor semi-automatic block system MPB was installed on the section Semey-Lokot of Kazakhstan Railway (JSC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy). This is the first implementation of semi-automatic system developed by R&P Centre “Promelectronica” in Kazakhstan.
