MPB in Kazakhstan

In the end of March microprocessor semi-automatic block system MPB was installed on the section Semey-Lokot of Kazakhstan Railway (JSC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy). This is the first implementation of semi-automatic system developed by R&P Centre “Promelectronica” in Kazakhstan. The length of equipped section is about 120 km and contains 6 stations and 5 track sections. Blocking signals transmit via physical line.

For the last few years freight traffic on this section had been reduced and using auto-block AC system was too expensive. That’s why management of Kazakhstan Railway decided to change it for our microprocessor semi-automatic block system MPB, which helps to reduce operating costs and ensures the highest standards of safety on the section.

Delivery of equipment and installation works were executed by the specialists of R&P Centre “Promelectronica”.
