ESSO-ILS Axle Counting System
ESSO-ILS is used as a part of information and logistic systems to track locomotive and train car movement on the station.
Application
- Counts number of axles passing over every axle counter and detects direction of movement. Transmits data to upper level systems via Ethernet.
Advantages
- Reduced amount and cost of indoor equipment comparing with ESSO-M/ESSO-M-2 systems.
- Highly reliable system.
- Safe DKU-M Wheel Sensors without additional electronic equipment on tracks.
- ESSO-ILS could be supplemented by ESSO-M/ESSO-M-2 indoor equipment and connected with MPC-I not modifying ESSO-ILS trackside devices.
- Provides counting posts feeding, collects data on wheel sensor and protects equipment from lightning and switching overvoltages.
Railway Segments
- Information and Logistic systems for train cars and locomotives tracking on station.
