Promelectronica’s engineers have concluded commissioning works on Level-crossing No.88 of arc furnace plant of Cherepovets Steel Mill, belonging to PAO Severstal. Today Cherepovets Steel Mill is the second largest steel mill of Russia and the largest steel-producing asset of PAO Severstal.
Level-crossing No.88 is located on the non-interlocked area of arc furnace plant station. Information tables are installed instead of traditional light signals. Engineers of the North West Office of Promelectronica have modernized ESSO system within as part of the modernization project, as well as the level-crossing was integrated with MPC-I interlocking system, installed on arc furnace plant station. Here the interlocking controls 13 points and 24 signals.
JSC R&D Company Promelectronica and PAO Severstal established cooperation more than 25 years ago. Currently Shikhtovaya, Cherepovets-2, Syryevaya, Tsentralnaya Stations and other facilities of PAO Severstal are using ESSO and ESSO-M-2 axle counting systems, as well MPC-I computer-based interlocking, including a version with digital interface, for train traffic control.
