JSC R&D Company Promelectronica has put into operation MPC-I Computer-based interlocking featuring domestically made object controllers on Komsomolskaya Station of GMK Nornickel. This is the second station that boasts new object controller system.
Now 16 points within the station and 3 more remote points are controlled by the object controllers. Here, the MPC-I equipment features hot-standby redundancy and power supply of all computer-based equipment is ensured by SGP-MS-15T Uninterruptable power supply system. ESSO-M-2 Axle counting system includes 58 counting posts and controls clearance and occupancy of the tracks. The line between Komsomolskaya and Talnakh stations is controlled by MPB absolute block system, which replaced an outdated relay system.
Our equipment, including redundant Station master workstation and SGP-MS-15T power supply system is located in the KTK Equipment container, consisting of four MKM modules. Transportable complex is fitted with high-tech life support system, featuring comfortable and safe work conditions for operating staff in the severe climate of Norilsk.
Komsomolskaya Station serves Talnakh Processing Plant, which is a part of GMK Nornickel and produces the most ore concentrates of the factory. The station is used for sorting and output of nickel ore from the processing plant. The plant processes rich, copper and impregnated ores from Oktyabrskoye and Talnakhskoye deposits into nickel-pirrhotine copper concentrates and metalliferous products.

Komsomolskaya Station has become twelfth station of the factory that is equipped with systems developed by R&D Company Promelectronica.
