One of the most important and large infrastructure objects in Russia - new Kuznetsovskiy tunnel on Far-Eastern Railway was opened on 25th of December 2012. R&P Centre “Promelectronica” took part in implementation of such important for the Russian economics project. Three new stations were equipped with microprocessor interlocking MPC-I. These objects have been constructed within modernization of the Northern lateral way.
Opening of tunnel will enable to increase capacity of section Komsomolsk-on-Amur – Sovetskaya Gavan, which is considered one of the most heavy traffic and requested section, increase traffic speed and weight train tonnage rates.
Tunnel was built by means of the most modern innovative technologies and the whole railway infrastructure should also comply with such a high level. Microprocessor interlocking MPC-I is completely suited into global plans of modernization of the Northern lateral way and approved itself in operation from the end of 2010 year on the other stations of Far-Eastern Railway.
Due to opening of new Kuznetsovskiy tunnel ceremonial events took place along with participation of Vladimir Yakunin, the president of JSC “Russian Railways”. Igor Tilk, General Director of R&P Centre “Promelectronica” also took part in the ceremony.
