The 12th international congress arranged by Signal+Draht publishing took place from 8th to 9th of November 2012 in Fulda, Germany. This year professional discussion of the European experts was dedicated to the development of signalling systems and technologies in perspective until 2025.
Igor Tilk, General Director of R&P Centre “Promelectronica”, participated once again in Signal+Draht congress.
More than 300 people have participated in this event, among them representatives of the European Railways, technical experts of the world leading developing companies, science representatives. There were five people from Russia: representatives of Petersburg State Transport University, JSC NIIAS and R&P Centre “Promelectronica”.
As for today, an important problem for the railways is application of many systems of different types. This significantly decreases interoperability of the European transport corridors.
In perspective of signalling systems development diversity of applied systems is planned to be reduced. ERTMS should become unified train traffic control system in Europe. Herewith, special role in development of train traffic safety assurance is assigned to remote control, extension of the satellite technologies and application of open networks.
