On 19th of September 2012 at the InnoTrans 2012 trade fair for transport technology taken place in Berlin, TÜV Rheinland awarded the certificate for the safety integrity level (SIL) 4 to R&P Centre “Promelectronica” for their axle counting system ESSO.
R&P Centre “Promelectronica” has become the first Russian company in field of railway signalling and telecommunication systems received a SIL 4 certificate.
The independent safety assessment has been carried out by TÜV Rheinland InterTraffic according to CENELEC EN 50126 / 50128 / 50129.
The certificate was handed over to Dr. Igor Tilk, General Director of R&P Centre “Promelectronica”, by Dr. Michael Dalacker, General Director of TÜV Rheinland InterTraffic, at the TÜV Rheinland stand. Dr. Dalacker said: "The safety assessment we have performed for Promelectronica not only proves that their ESSO system can help make railways safer. It also underlines that TÜV Rheinland responds to customer needs to fulfill their economic potential."
Dr. Igor Tilk, General Director of R&P Centre “Promelectronica”, said during the ceremony: “To receive European certificate for the Russian train traffic safety ensuring system means acknowledgement and approval of high level of our developments, solutions and scientific potential of the Russian engineers. We are proud that our system passed testing and assessment on compliance to the highest safety level and successfully operates not only in Russia but in other countries.”
