InnoTrans 2008 is marking the end

   This year from September 23 to 26 the world’s specialized trade fair for rail transport technology InnoTrans 2008 took place on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds “Messe Berlin” (Berlin City, Germany). Research&Production Centre “Promelectronica” for the first time participated in this big international industry showplace focusing on railway technologies.

   It is worthwhile to say that out of 15 Russian companies participating in the exhibition, only R&P Centre “Promelectronica” presented domestic developments and solutions in the area of railway automation and telemechanics.

 

   The exhibition that takes place once every two years, traditionally is attended by a big number of participants and visitors.  This year the overall exhibition area of 150000 sq.m has provided the opportunity for about 2000 companies from 41 countries  to display their products and services. Nearly the whole Europe, Australia, Russia, Japan, China… The geography of the exhibition has reflected all the modern world trends of transport technology development. Almost 90000 visitors arriving in Germany from 100 countries were registered at InnoTrans 2008. 

 

   The unique character of the concept of Inno Trans exhibition consists in the fact that within the framework of one event there is a specialized exhibition in exhibition halls, displays on the Messe Berlin tracks and a huge programme of presentations and conferences.  This year the exhibition has been devoted to the following segments:

Railway Technology: rolling – stock, component parts and subsystems;

Railway Infrastructure;

Railway Construction and Maintenance Vehicles;

Rolling-stock Interiors;

Public Transport  Services;

Transport IT;

Tunnel Construction

   On its stand R&P Centre “Promelectronica” displayed the computer-based interlocking system MPTs – I, computer-based semi-automatic block system MPB, level-crossing protection system MAPS as well as Track Vacancy Detection System over Axle Counters  ESSO.
